Anyways, rules are as follows, write a poem in any style using the five words that I give you. Write it in one sitting or in under an hour (only to quash your inner editor, rules are loose there). Add it here, OR link in a comment so we can enjoy each other's poems. The words can be in any plurality or tense. Today’s words are: bottom, down, low, under, last
Below is mine:
--------------------------------------------------------------
The sad pulls me under over and over again,
Losses that I have, things I should have been.
Forcing my mind back down paths I should have trod
Painting my successes as little more than fraud.
Low the sad takes me as it washes away
I try to hold to my anchors but it won’t let me stay
Under at last I go too tired to fight
Lost I will be in water and night.
Tight goes the lines that tether me to things
So glad that some on me have tied their strings,
For when I can’t fight anymore they hold tight,
Whispering against the sad, they sometimes can fight.
The fight that I can no longer fight for myself.

Powerful! I'm glad you are surrounded by strength. Keep writing it out. Writing will loose the bonds that cripple you.

A long while ago there was a bottom
I touched it from under the dock
sucking in air,
down low enough not to speak for myself
emotions washed over, blanketing me,
lost and buoyed, found in the splash,
I found a way to bend my knees and up,
the surface reached, my voice unleashed
my words fingerprinting
never again drowned in horror of the podium.
