Favorite Gary Moore Songs #6 - "Military Man"

Two protest songs in a row now in my Favorite Gary Moore Songs series, which celebrates the life and sheer awesomeness of my favorite guitarist. We are at #6: "Military Man." Growing up in war-torn Belfast, Northern Ireland, obviously had an impact on the late guitarist, as many of Moore's best tunes were protest songs, particularly anti-war songs. From his 1985 album, Run for Cover, "Military Man" is just such a song. Twice a member of Thin Lizzy, Moore had a lifelong friendship with that band's leader/bassist/vocalist, Phil Lynott, and the two collaborated often. In fact, "Military Man" was written by Lynott, who also performed vocals on the track. Because Gary Moore was at his best in concert, I'm linking to live videos as much as possible. This one is from a 1987 show in Stockholm, with Moore handling vocal duties, and it is one smoking hot performance. Enjoy! (Info verified by Wikipedia)
Military Man by Gary Moore, recorded live April 25, 1987 at Isstadion, Stockholm, during the Wild Frontier Tour.

Thumbs way up! And you have to appreciate how they did not try to make it sound "like a Thin Lizzy song."
