Farm Fresh Corn on the Cob

United States
August 19, 2017 11:00am CST
When my daughter was coming home from work yesterday she stopped at a roadside stand and bought a dozen ears of corn from a local farm. Guess what we're having tonight! If you guessed corn on the cob you are right Since the weather has cleared up it's time to fire up the barbecue for dinner and grill that corn to perfection. Along with that we'll have burgers and a salad. I haven't even had lunch yet and I'm already anxiously waiting for dinner.

I love the fresh farm corn on the cob..unfortunately I would have to be careful of my teeth now. But when I was little my loose teeth would also come out eating cobs lol

Corn on the cob and teeth do have trouble with each other but it's so easy to take the corn off the cob and enjoy it that way

We've only had sweet corn once this summer, but I'm thinking that we may have it tonight also. I have a couple of beautiful big steaks that I'm planning on grilling up, and then the usual baked potatoes and some mushrooms and onions.

@Marilynda1225 Mmmm, mine too. I love a good thick steak and there's nothing better then a baked potato smothered in butter.

Those corn on the cobs will certainly taste awesome if they are fresh from the farm.

I always enjoyed corn on the cob. It took me a while to realize what was giving me those horrible stomach aches. Unfortunately corn was the culprit. Not I get to watch others enjoy it or suffer the consequences.

Sorry that corn gives you stomach problems but better to not eat it than suffer the consequences. My friends daughter can't eat anything with corn in it as she is highly allergic

Oh yum! I have not had any farm fresh this year, the rain did not do the farms so good either.

We were lucky that the rain didn't harm our corn crop this season even though it seems like we had lots more rain than usual

I love corn on the cob, especially in season- which it is now- you just reminded me to look for some in the grocery store.
