I need more patience I know but this is sometimes so difficult, specially when you are in need! I've been working under a client since 2014 and he is a nice guy as he is understanding! He pays for my writing n copy paste job, but this year he is paying low, few months totally off, last 7 months he pay only $300 so far for my job in his site, where our agreement was that I will get paid $200 per month. How it feels like when I ask for my salary like a beggar ? I trust him that he will pay me normally my salary but sometimes it hurts when I badly need of money and my bank account going to be empty! . . Photo: pixabay

I am sorry he is being cheap with you..that is not fair. He did not keep true to his word. I am sure this makes you feel very badly.

@SHOHANA I wonder how he would take it if you ask him for proper amount. Are you worried that he would no longer need you then?

As @Athinker said, I doubt your employer is trying to take advantage of you, there's likely to be some issue with the company. All you can do is to ask for the truth, he isn't maintaining his promise and he owes explanations.

To be honest, you should talk to your client about it. Maybe he can clarify why this has been happening. If you don't saya anything. He might think that you're okay with it. It won't hurt to ask. Expectations and agreementa should be met. I've done a bit of freelance work for someone who changed her payment to me twice. I let the first pass. The second time I reminded her about the agreement and that I gave her the work in ahead of the deadline and reminded her that she gave me the work last minute. Since this is the second time she has paid me less than what was agreed on, I stopped accepting work from her. Saved us both the stress.

@SHOHANA Aww. I fthat's the case you may need to find another client to make ends meet. Your current client, I think, would be able to understand that especially if you've waited 7 months already.

If that was stated in your agreement, then you can demand for it. Although sometimes, if our client is also relying on their income from the work given to us, chances are he himself is also not earning that much. Perhaps you could try finding another client.

@SHOHANA Yes, it is hard to find another job, but that would be better than having a job that doesn't pay you. I'm sure you can still a find a good one. Just keep on looking. You have skills and other companies or client might need those skills.

Oh, I hate when a site doesn't pay, because you're expecting that money. Hopefully he will come through for you and you will get paid. You're kind of in a rut, because you could give him an ultimatum that if he doesn't pay you within a certain time you won't work for him anymore, but then you'll have to find some place else that will pay you. Best of luck and hopefully you will get paid soon!!

You should talk to him dear and not let him take you for granted. He should honour the agreement.

Do you have a contract? A written agreement or something that shows he agreed to pay $200 per month? If so let him know that was the agreement or he will continue to USE you. Its not begging to ask for money you have earned. You stand tall with your head up and ask for what is due to you. Its hard to ask at first, I have to ask 6 people a month for my pay, They use me by renting my houses so I ask for the money. Look at it this way, he is buying your service. Just ask.

I understand. It is very hard when you truly need your money and the other person that is suppose to give it to you does not and does not sympathize or care.
