My Neighbors Felt Sorry For Me...

Good afternoon fellow mylotters!! Yes, I've upgraded from my regular push lawn mower to this self propelled mower!! Our neighbors (NO, not the mother-in-law) felt sorry for me, because I'm usually the one that mows most of the 3 acres here. They have two riding lawn mowers that they use to more their 3 lots with. The husband says his back, by the time he gets done mowing hurts just on a riding lawn mower, so he had empathy for me. One day, we were visiting them, I was talking with the wife and the "men" were in the "man's cave." When we got ready to go, the hubby brought this mower with him. They said they were just going to throw it away, but they felt sorry for me because I was the one that does all the mowing with my push mower!! By the way, this self propelled mower is taking me some time to get use to, especially when I'm turning corners. I have to remember to let off on the propelled part of it!! ~Peace~

Yes, those neighbors are definitely compassionate. They've come over on their riding lawn mowers and helped mow. In return I've given them veggies out of the garden. Hopefully we'll be getting some Colorado peaches from them!!

Three acres is a lot to mow without a riding mower!

We have divided the land up, so now I just have to mow about 1.5 acres!!

Good neighbours are priceless. When our children were young 3-13 years.....I cut almost an acre of grass(aka weeds) to keep the propert presentable. The following spring we seeded the yard with grass and hubby purchased a riding mower. He switched the standard seat with a captains seat from an old Aerostar. He rode in comfort and style.....I didn't mow the grass again.

A free self propelled? That is awesome. I think you are the first woman on here that works as hard as I do.
