Just want to say a quick hello and wish you were here! Our hotel is wonderful and we lucked out by getting a corner room. We are safe and sound, and stayed away from the demonstration in The Boston Commons. Kudos to the city of Boston and the police!
Instead, we've been eating and shopping. I found exquisite shoes and even stunning sneakers for our son's wedding. I just bought a load of makeup and had a makeover. Such fun!
The weather has been wonderful today, although it was hot and humid yesterday. Soon I am going to get ready for cocktails and dinner with my husband.
See you soon and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

@DianneN Nah, Yarmouth is good. It was a Wellfleet beach that had the major erosion and dune collapse from the storm. A car fell down from being parked there.

@DianneN
That is all the fun of it.
Taking time to look around and see what you like the most and not having to rush it all.

And they cut it short due to so many counter-protesters showing up. Nazis have no place in the US, it seems to me.

@DianneN As a young boy, my father lived in Brain-tree, Mass. His older sister and her husband lived in Marblehead, for about forty years.

We stayed in Braintree once with our boys when we went to Boston with them. I believe my husband stayed there for a conference, too. I've never been to Marblehead, but there are so many lovely suburbs outside of Boston. A college friend lived in Newton.

@kobesbuddy I don't know if you know, but we were here as my birthday surprise in June. Unfortunately, we had one horror after another. My son's best friend was killed in a car accident, our friends from Savannah got ill and canceled our dinner plans, and my husband tripped and cut his forehead open and spent the afternoon in the hospital. He was so upset that he ruined my birthday that he wanted to make it up to me. Secretly, I know for a fact that he enjoys Boston as much as I do. lol

@LadyDuck We, too, have had a beautiful spring and summer. If it rains, it usually does at night while we are asleep. It was humid here yesterday, but I don't mind it as long as I can cool off in the house with a/c. I'd never manage sleeping at night without the a/c. We like it cold with a lightweight down comforter. Same in Florida. We turned the a/c way down in our room in Boston. They had heavy comforters on the bed!!!

I'm happy they are clearing out now! We changed from the Taj, the old Ritz Carlton on Newbury across from the Commons where we stayed last time, to the Copley Marriott. We used to stay and eat in the North End all the time. Now, we are in the Back Bay and South End for the shopping and food. Had Italian last night. Tonight, we are having Brazilian. Thank you so much! The weekend has been much, much better than our last visit.

@just4him For my dress. Lol! For our other son's wedding, my husband bought me a magnificent gold and diamond bracelet in Florence, Italy, and we went directly into NYC after I bought my gown for a diamond necklace at one of our favorite stores in the Diamond District. I usually wear yellow gold, but need white gold for the dress. I'm not wearing a necklace, but my husband bought me earrings in Boston. He told me I have enough jewelry, but I really have nothing fancy in white gold. I still need to look through my jewelry. Otherwise, I smell a new bracelet coming my way. It's all in the details!
