Chicken Alarm Clock

I live next door to a Chicken farm. I imagine there must be at least 50 free range chickens there as well as many roosters that are raised for fighting. When I first moved here they were annoying and kept me awake at night, but now, so many years later, if they don't wake up at about three in the morning and start crowing I will wake up and wonder what is wrong with them! No pictures...unless I use a cooked one!

It is ok once you get used to their noise. At least they don't smell!

@toniganzon It is only on rare occasions that they don't crow!

It is incredible how we can get the habit to different kind of noises and we are annoyed if they stop. Do you always live in the same small complex where you lived a few years ago?

Yes, Anna! In January it will be ten years! Amazing how fast the years go by!

@jaideemai I think to remember you had some issues with the Boss Manager, I am glad you were able to stay there.

@LadyDuck Yes. While she was going through the "change of life" she was really a tyrant!

I won't live near a chicken farm unless the farm is ours. Just too many things to put up with!

What made you choose THAT specific spot to stay? (re; next to a chicken farm!) I have some acquaintances who decide to retire in South East Asia. In some cases because they married a native there, some because they wanted a native bride, some, (this last group), I have no clue why they choose to settle in such an island or part of a certain country. I was about to interview one when that acquaintance passed away suddenly after marrying a very young bride. Bummer!

Most of my life, I have gone with my feelings if they are strong. When I first saw this small complex, I knew I should live here.
