First phone I used.

I was looking at my smart phone a few minutes and remembered the first phone I ever used. I don't remember how old I was but it was pretty young. I had to stand on an old wooden box and wind up a crank to get the operator. Then she would put my call through.

A wired telephone. I remember the phone I used back in the 80s, I had to wind it to dial a number.

@jaideemai No, we didn't have that in this country and I think I was to young to remember something that I had never actually used.

Since you were around during the 80's, do you remember the first car phones that took up the entire trunk of a car?

Those types of phones don't exist anymore. Although, I'd be very interested in owning a working one even up to now.

i guess you were referring to a telephone/landline that had its own stand with the rotary dial. we had them, then the punch dial, then the cordless phone. i also used the big red payphones that you fed it with coins.

I remember those phones. I saw them in movies. The first phone we had was a regular telephone that sits on a table or desk and you dial the numbers.

LOL! I am 71 years old so and will guess that I may have been about 7 or 8 at that time so I am sure it is long gone! It was actually a public phone in the basement of one of the tenements we lived in.
