Jusco is my favorite supermarket. In fact I think here the price from all the supermarkets are similar. This is why I pay attention to the service. The Jusco staff are trained, I think. They are very polite and they will even bow to you. I think it makes sense as it seems it is a supermarket comes from Japan.

Who are you asking? Do you seriously think that all members from around the globe know this supermarket brand? I've never even heard the name.

In a globalized world it makes sense. A German supermarket brand like Aldi exists also in Australia and USA today.

@topffer *Some* supermarket brands exist in several countries. Not all do, though. Do you know the one mentioned in this post?

@hereandthere Yeah. It's only in Mindanao. The good thing about this is their grocery products comes from their own farm that is the reason why they sell it for a cheaper price compare to others.

My favorite supermarket is usually the nearest from my home. I had one up the street at my previous home, and before that I had a supermarket on the other side of the street. Even if it was a bit more expensive than some others, I would have lost time and gas to go elsewhere. I have a bit more choice now that I moved : I have 2 large supermarkets at equal distance from my home, but I have to walk a bit more.

@topffer This is why I think Jusco is special because it is not the first time for me to have their good service. It seems it is very common for them to do so. They are trained well.

@youless The service is the same everywhere here, but you do not always find the same brands in any supermarket. I have a small one not far actually, but the choice of products is too limited.

I am surprised to hear that. As I thought you might mention Walmart or Costco etc. Since they are famous supermarkets in your country

@LadyDuck It is very strange that in Hong Kong and mainland China the Jusco supermarkets are bigger than Japan's

I do not have a favorite supermarket. I did have one when a clerk was there but she retired and it isn't the same without her. Since I have never heard of Jusco what do they have that makes them special?

The service in Jusco is very good. The staff are patient and nice. When you are looking for something, they will lead you there in person.

@Hannihar There are big and small Jusco stores here. It depends on different locations. If there will be a new supermarket wants to come here, it may be a little bit harder as the best locations were occupied by different supermarkets.

@youless Is it a big store? The supermarket I go to is big enough and there are times they change things around so have to go searching for what I am looking for. Where I go they are ok. There are some nice clerks, but, not like my friend that is retired. She would go out of her way to help people. They get new ones in and some of the ones that have been there awhile are there, but, there are times they do not have enough clerks and the lines get very busy. I go to that store because they have the products I like.

Mercadona and the big Eroski stores are my favourites and also Carrefour when I can get to it of course. Never heard of that one. Mercadona has lots of choice and reliability.

When you talk about Big Bazaar, it reminds me of Big C in Thailand.

This is funny. Jusco is a tagalog slang of My God in my country. My daughter is fond of this expression and write it like that. Here, I love to shop at Carrefour because the staff is friendly. Also almost all the things you need is available in this store.
