Expecting-Say A Little Prayer!

My daughter who will be 29 next month, has one child 2 1/2 year-old Luna. In February, she had a miscarriage after going in for an ultrasound and they saw that there was no fetus. Her body had faked her out and there was nothing growing inside. Medically referred to as a Molar Pregnancy. The sperm fertilizes an empty egg and no baby is formed. Well they tried again, and here is the picture of the next little grandchild to be born in mid March. Praying for a healthy child and excited for the next addition to the family!

That's fascinating about the molar pregnancy. Never heard of that. I've heard the term false pregnancy before where the person has signs but is not pregnant. Anyway, best of luck to your daughter and may you have a healthy grandchild to cuddle in your arms soon. Prayers for you and your daughter!

I myself had three children, and had never known about the molar pregnancy. I didn't quite understand it when she said she had gone in for an ultrasound but there was no baby. And then within three days she miscarried. So of course as a mom and a curious human being, I started researching it. Thank you so much! Btw...How are those pumpkins doing?
@SonjaRae Thanks for asking. They are coming along. I had 3 but squirrels got to the smallest one The other 2 are now well protected with screening as I would be devastated if they got the big one. I keep a closer watch now and have my fingers crossed they will be ok.

@much2say you know the crazy part is I wasn't ill during my pregnancies, not like that. With my daughter I ended up becoming toxemic towards the end but I never had morning sickness that I can recall. Nothing like what my daughter goes through.

Well, I would like to say that I happened to be heard 2 stories of Molar Pregnancy. Er..I heard it from my childhood friend(Not gossip, my dear friend just worried too much, and I comforted her and let the words out to make her feel comfortable.). It was about her two elder brothers' wives. Both two had miscarriages of their first pregnancy. Also, referred to as Molar Pregnacies. My mom told me that the molar pregnacy was like a group of grapes when it grew up. It was just a cell division, not forming a fetus. However, it was caused by many factors. Anyway, prayers for your healthy grandchild and your daughter!
