Eventful Sunday Morning

I had a great title for this discussion on my way to church this morning called Train Graffiti. As I headed towards the bridge on Main St., I saw the way was blocked by a train. I'm sure you've noticed as you're waiting for that train to go past, hoping it won't stop, the different cars with all the works of art on them. Makes me wonder if they've taken graffiti to a whole new level in the art I'm seeing on the cars nowadays. It's really elaborate. As I was enjoying the various art forms on the cars, the train stopped, as it turned out three cars before the end, and stood there for ten minutes before it started on its way again.
As I waited for the train to start up again, all those in line, decided they weren't going to wait any longer. I had no choice. I was on my way to church and that was the way to go. So I shut off the car and patiently waited. Ten minutes later it started up again and I caught every red light after that all the way to church. I got there fifteen minutes before church started, but I'm usually earlier than that. It's a good thing I leave early when I go anywhere.
We had a guest speaker this morning again, and he was terrific, talking on the Five Laws of the Harvest.
As everyone got ready to head over to the picnic, I came home. And Praise God, I made it home.
The other title for this discussion could be I Have Good Brakes. I had my blinker on to turn right and along comes this car cutting right in front of me. I had to slam on my brakes in order not to hit him. My heart was pounding and praising God there wasn't anyone in back of me, as he continued into the gas station on the corner where I was going to turn. My tires squealed their displeasure in stopping so suddenly. Better they squealed than that I hit that car, which would have been unavoidable if my brakes weren't as good as they are.
So after catching my breath and praising God for taking care of me and avoiding an accident, I continued on my way home.
I would really like the rest of this day to be calmer and less eventful. How is your Sunday? Thanks for reading.

The road can be full of adventures to say the least! Well I'm glad you do have good brakes (and a fast reflex!). I've always wondered how those companies felt about all that graffiti on their train cars . . . some of it actually is quite cool. I see it at the same height on buildings too. Our Sunday is still just starting!

@just4him I hope you had a good week as I am late to comment back here ! And we are in to another Sunday. There is vandalism everywhere here unfortunately . . . some of the graffiti is interesting, but others are just pure vandalism.

You can always find something on a Christian channel. I have both TBN and Daystar that have great ministers.

Trains around here don't really have elaborate graffiti just words sometimes or oddball shapes. Hope the rremainder of your day is relaxing.
