Jerry Lewis Well known comedian, actor and Spokesman for the MDA in raising funds for research for muscle robbing disease that cuts short many young people's lives who were affected by the disease, died this morning at the age of 91. I always looked forward every year to the Labor Day Telethon watching as funds were raised not only for research to find a cure but to provide equipment needed to aid what came to be known as "Jerry's Kids" as their muscles wasted away from whatever form of MD they had and let them experience things of life like going to camp. He will be remember for his acting and making people laugh, but I will remember the great work he did for the MDA that as made great strides in getting closer to a cure. You are going to be missed Jerry

Yes, he will be missed. I watched many of his telethons through the years. I saw a lot of his movies, especially the ones he starred in with Dean Martin. It was a great day when the two of them reconciled their differences on one of his telethons. He will be remembered and missed.

@Elizaby I haven't seen the telethon in years and don't remember him singing that song.

The most amazing thing is that he didn't have to do that. How many of us would have ever heard of muscular dystrophy without Jerry Lewis' annual telethons? Farewell, funny man.

He kept busy and if I am not mistaken he recently did a movie that I don't think is out yet.

My parents made me aware of him. When I was 13, I developed a crush on Jerry. Very sad to see his decline in health and now his departure from life.
