Oh, that rock thing!! Hubby found this one in McPherson at the Wal Mart parking lot. My understanding is that this is supposed to help people get to know their community, to spread positive feelings and thoughts and to be something that all ages can participate in. I may have to find, paint, and hide some rocks. Generally if you find one, you post to the group on Facebook. In fact this group says to always put the group name as a tag on your rock. I posted the image of this one, both front and back. I described it and said where hubby found it. The person who painted it responded and was very happy to hear it had been found.

You probably would find a group in your area. It seems to be really popular with kids as well as adults.

I think it is. I may have to do some in the next two weeks to hide around before our town has a big Labor Day celebration.

They are all over the place here. Hubby found one from 2 towns up in our town then took it all the way to work which is like 6 miles from the Ohio border. It was a cool one and was really pretty. It really is all over the place.

That's a neat idea. I wonder if anyone in my community is doing that.
