So, tomorrow is the big day A SOLAR Eclipse

My sweet Sophie, she was such a sweetheart 1995 to 2010. She will be remembered.

I just found this shot of my sweet Sophie, finally. She lived with me for 15 years and I will always remember her. So I am curious, will you be able to see the eclipse? I will not, I always seem to be in the wrong place for these special events. I recently read that if you try to take a picture of it that it would fry your camera. I hope you will see the affects, I'd love to know if it really does get dark.

Sophie is a cutie, she looks sweet and smart. We did not have the glasses to watch here at home. Keith was lucky because someone from work brought a pair of glasses and they passed them around. He did take a picture with his iPhone and it did not mess the iPhone up.

She was the sweetest. I worked a lot throughout her life so the poor baby didn't have it as easy as Ally or Mykey.

Now why doesn't that surprise me all those warnings were probably made by people who didn't have a clue.

I hope so too @Shellyann36 in fact anyone whose bought a digital camera and read the rules of operation should know never to aim their camera directly at the sun without a filter.

They say that here it will only be a 60% eclipse but hopefully the weather is favorable to notice something and that I'm not at my dentist when it happens.

True @sol_cee but she's my guardian angel now so she's probably going to keep an eye on me to be sure I give my furbabies lots of treats.

I was sound asleep since it happened during my night. I did see one in 2012 that went right over Tokyo. It was amazing.

Did it get as dark as night? I've never been anywhere that an eclipse was visible.

Over here its only been partially seen in the Canary Islands and a bit of Spain but nothing else. I have felt it though but donĀ“t know how to explain that. Lovely photo of your Dog Sophie very sweet too. Did you get to see any of it. You seem to be in the right place to have seen it.

No, I'm too far south of that event but I did notice that although the sun was out it wasn't as hot as it should have been.

NO, this one is not visible in Europe and about the picture what you read is true, you risk to fry your camera.

This area is never privy to any of those kinds of events, it's always too far north of us.

Sweet baby photo. I'm not near the viewing sites. I just want some peace and quiet. That's good enough for me.

That must have been interesting. All it did for us is cause it to be a little cooler for a moment then it got hot again, the sun didn't darken here at all.

Maybe, but since looking up at it could cause blindness about the only thing anyone can do is let the rest of us know if it got dark during this event.

Aww what a sweetie. That is a wonderful image. We will be seeing a little bit of it. Not much. But it is still pretty cool! Hopefully it doesn't fry too many cameras because I really want to see some pictures

I think there are ways to get photos but since I won't be able to see any of the eclipse I figured why worry about it, right? Thank you, she was such a sweetheart.
