Why do I need to follow rules?

If we have freedom to choose between right and wrong, then why do we still need rules. Rules would just limit your choices whether to choose this or that. I thought like this before but now I realized that there should be oppositions in all things and rules are just our guide for us not to be led astray on the right path. We indeed need these rules for our safety journey in this life. What do you think?

This is why "exceptions" exist. While reading this I thought are there rules for doing things wrong or choosing the wrong ones? None right?

I hate rules, but, there are some things that you have to do in life that you may not like to, but, that is life.
