Nature Called

Doodles, the cat, is our little love and is our grandkitty. We adore him to smitherines. We call him a stuffed animal that has come to life as our baby. He does everything a baby would do. He coughs, sneezes, burps, coos, vomits, and even expels gas. He even says, "No!" and has stamped his foot. Today on his walk I found him sitting strangely, so I picked him up. Little did I know he was making a pee pee until it was in my hand! Thank goodness I had tissues handy and made a beeline to the house! This was the first time Doodles used the great outdoors as his toilet. When Nature calls, it calls!

@DianneN Preiti likes her privacy too. When I take her out on a leash occasionally and leave her she will go where she has to do her job but will look back to see if i am looking (lol)

I never saw him in his litter box. He likes his privacy.

@allknowing Lol! Doodles won't go if he knows we are looking at him. His box is enclosed on three sides, but open on top. We can't make eye contact when we see him in it.

Are you sure Doodles wasn't peeing on you to mark his territory? Cats have a tendency to do that. He is signaling that you now belong to him! haha

Watch out for landmines. We have to watch where we step. Our older cat loves being outdoors.

No landmines from him. Just from wild animals, but Doodles covers it up!!!! lol

Well when nature calls, Doodles listens! I used to have a dog that would stamp his feet when he wanted attention.

Lol! I think we all tried to make our pets into little dolls when we were little. I strapped loafers onto my dog's back feet.

Lily would go outside to use the bathroom. She didn't like the litter we had. We changed litters and she now goes the litterbox. But lately she wants to go outside alot.

Once there was a huge problem. My son bought all natural litter, and Doodles refused to use his box. Instead, he sprayed all over the place. He now loves his Dr. Elsey's clumping litter. Doodles never did that before. Do you go out with Lily?

Wow, the first time for Doodles to pee in the great outdoors? He knows you are family and felt comfortable to continue peeing in your hand . The good thing is it can all be washed off and a loving grandparent completely understands .

It was a good thing I had tissues. He is a character, for sure. Now, he says, "No!" to me when I ask him if he wants to go into the house. I have since learned to loudly say, "Let's go!" That works better than asking him. lol

oh gross! 2 of mine go outside to do their business. They are litter-trained but refuse to share a box with other cats so they go outside.

Each cat should have their own box. Doodles always uses his box, but hey, he had to go! He always needs his privacy in the house, but obviously, not outdoors.
