Have you ever had any difficulties with Paypal?

I am owed a payment by one company, who claim they have made the payment twice. This is Prolific Academic. They have been paying me for a year or more on a regular basis. Anyway, I have no reason to think they wouldn't have made the payment, but yet I have not received it. I contacted both them and PayPal. PayPal said there is nothing in the system and they need the transaction ID to look it up. Of course, being in the UK, Prolific is closed for the day. However, on another PP account I have..I also had trouble receiving payment for the first time, although I eventually got it. Not sure what is going on, but not happy! I did receive the Mylot payment with no problem..Strange with two sepaarte PP accounts both had a problem..Just my luck... I hope I don't have to open another account or two of them actually.

If the payment are coming from another country, this can be the reason. More strict international rules to check the money movements to the United States.

I think that is a distinct possibilty because they have been trying to get members to use the payment method Circle. Circle takes longer though, so I am not in favor of that.

@LadyDuck Yes, I am going to talk to them again today..Something strange is going on for sure. This AM even though she supposedly made two prior payments they said the payment was still in the queue! Huh? They are quite nice there and have good intent I am sure, but intent does not help me!

@snowy22315 If they are trying to force to use Circle, they are creating the problem to force people to change. PayPal is surely innocent.

The issue may not always be PayPal. It could be the company trying to pay you. I know not everyone has good experience with PayPal and I know sometimes I wish there was something better. But not receiving payments is nothing new but hope Yours does show up

You can replace your email with PayPal since this is the basis of our accounts. You can create a new email and replace the one you have in your account. One of my friends got problems with her PayPal account because of some phishing emails that she received.

I hope Prolific gets it fixed because I will soon be cashing out. I never had any problem with Paypal or Prolific.
