Total Eclipse of the heart is one of the most iconic song of the Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler.I was checking out itunes when I saw that this classic song is now Number one at Itunes. It is not used on a movie or TV show recently so I am amazed how this song managed to chart again.Usually older songs charts again when it's either used for a soundtrack or it got covered. Does it have something to do with the eclipse?

She still sings BTW but she doesnt sing as raspy as before . I think she doesn't sing the way she sings in 80's because it is an abuse of her throat. Her style of singing is harmful to the throat.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/eurovision Bonnie Tyler will represent the United Kingdom with "Believe in Me" at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmo, Sweden.

@toniganzon Remember the 90's and early 2000's eclipse in the Philippines, it got clouded too.

Some Americans who are excited of the event are upset because its cloudy and raining on their area, hence covering the eclipse.

Personally, I posted "Darkness on the Face of the Earth" by Willie Nelson as my "eclipse song." I'm sure Jim Steinman wrote this with the anticipation that it would hit #1 again after 34 years when a solar eclipse rolled around. Look for it to be #1 again in seven years, when we have the next one!

I think "Darkness on the Face of the Earth" didnt work because the title doesnt have the work though it will make sense. I know this song is originally 8 minutes but the radio version is only 3 minutes.

@CaptAlbertWhisker well that song came out the year that I was born and I always listen to 80s but mostly 90s because they had the best music then.

Not surprising! Didn't Bonnie Tyler said she was going to sing her song during the eclipse? Not sure where she'll sing it though.
