Do you speak to whom you don't like?

You certainly must have experienced some situation where you see yourself "forced" to talk to someone you don't like. But by the so-called "good neighborly" policy (where you use your education to maintain the warmth of the situation) we see ourselves talking to people we wanted to avoid. Have you ever experienced a situation like this?

I avoid people I don't like. I'm retired now so that's easy to do, but when I worked I had to interact with coworkers whether I liked them or not. I remained professional but not friendly, I didn't encourage any conversation other than work related subjects. They generally got the message. I get along pretty well with most people. Sometimes when you get older you have different priorities and don't want to waste your energy on those who annoy you.

I experienced that. It felt so good after talking to the one whom I dislike. You try also. You will not regret it afterward.

Yeah, it is called my entire extended family. If I see them at gatherings, I have to speak to them and it is just..the worst. haha! Other than that, I haven't actually had to deal with that. Unless it was like in school.
