$10.8M for playing a computer game!

And who says that playing computer games will get you nowhere? Recently, a tournament called The International (TI) 7, gave away a total pool of $24M to the winners of the Dota2 tournament. $10.8M of which, went to the grand prize winning team composed of 5 youngsters. Second placer went home with $3.9M. Something can be achieved as long as you follow your passion and put your heart into it.

Tell your last sentence to people who have followed their passion and put their hearts into something and have achieved nothing. There are lots of reasons why efforts can fail.

@MALUSE That's one of the problems with all the books about positive thinking. It may work for some people, but it will never work for everyone.

I've never even heard of that game. I stay away from computer games because I find them addictive and stop me doing the more important things that need doing. Of course it's great for the privileged few who win a lot of money, but they must have put a lot of time into developing their skills to the level required to win that kind of money.

I agree. Still, it's amazing. To be part of the few who can participate in such tournament. You can say the same thing with other athletes or other sports.
