See the picture? This is called Ice kacang, also famously known as Bean Ice, a popular cold dessert during hot days. Ice kacang is popular in Malaysia, SIngapore and Brunei, Asian countries where the weather is hot during the month of June and July. This photo was taken during our previous trip to Malacca, Malaysia, where we had a short vacation during the school holidays. It is a mixture of cooked red beans, assorted jellies, sweet corn, grass jellies, nata de coco ( coconut ) with shave ice ( lots of them ) and drizzle with sweet syrup. The only problem is Ice Kacang would melt almost instantly alike ice-cream under hot weather. So, you had to eat as fast as you could upon serving. What is your country's popular cold dessert? photo taken by peachpurple

In all European countries it is the ice cream, but also cold watermelon, shaved ice and sherbets.
