I Feel Like I'm In The Dark / myLot

I have a walk-in pantry in my house (it's not huge but large enough to walk into) and the lights started flickering and went out. So, now I'm standing in the dark and hate that I have to replace a fluorescent bulb. I never paid attention to the light in the pantry and just flipped the switch and bingo there was light. I can't believe that I've lived in this house for almost 7 years and never noticed the light fixture. This might be a dumb thing to say but I didn't think fluorescent bulbs were used much anymore. I got my cereal out of the pantry and opened the refrigerator to get the milk and wham the light burns out. Now my refrigerator is completely dark and I don't have a replacement bulb. What's the odds that both bulbs would burn out at the same time? As I'm sitting here writing my tale of woe about light bulbs I noticed that my wall clock has stopped so I'm sure the battery needs replacing. Hope nothing else stops working today

I'm going to blame all these strange happenings on yesterdays solar eclipse

As I was reading your post, I also thought that the eclipse had something to do with it.

You can blame it on the solar eclipse, I blamed the customers bad moods last week to the same thing!

I guess those lights were probably put in all at the same time and that's why this is happening. My humble opinion.

I hate when bulbs blow too. I think the flood lights outside are going, one at a time and those things are expensive!

That's a good a reason as any! My smoke detectors all go off at once..if one is bad..I think they share the same connection in the wiring. What a cacophony that is!

They say these things come in threes..... We have lots florescent lights and this house is fairly new - one above the kitchen window. Four outside by the pool house, some it he workshop and in the garage. I think the basement also
