Getting a loan is so much easier than it used to be!

I was honestly shocked by how easy it was to get a debt consolidation loan recently. I got an offer in the mail from one of my credit card providers--or rather, the bank that issued the card. I thought about it a couple of weeks then went online and gave them the info they wanted. In 30 seconds I was approved!! It took another ten minutes to enter the information on where to send the money--various loans and credit cards--and voila! It was done! In years past I would have had to go to a bank, fill out an application, provide a lot of references and financial information and then wait. And wait. About 10-14 days later I would receive an acceptance letter (or rejection) in the mailbox then go into the office and sign a lot of papers. I figure no counting the waiting for the approval I would have spent at least ten hours in filling out paperwork and looking for the information required. I could not believe how fast and easy it was. But I did wonder how many people would just accept a loan without looking at interest rates, pay off times, comparing scenarios, etc? I looks as if it's going to make a huge, positive difference in my life. But I gave it a lot of thought. I've been operating either in the red or breaking even each month and now I'll have some positive cash flow and start building up my savings again. Would it be easy for you to get a loan and would you do it?
