Don't know how much I'll post about that giant rabbit in the Gulf.
However, I had some shopping that I needed to do this weekend and decided I should get out and get it done before it started raining.
So, off I go to Sam's for the cat litter, dog food and large trash bags.
All's good. Then I headed off to Walmart for some extra sodas for me and cream cheese - they carry a yummy Salmon cream cheese that I can make a meal out of.
So, I get the shopping done and get home. Still no rain. I get my stuff inside and, while I'm working on getting the dog food in the bin, the sky opened up.
After I get the cart unloaded and back in place, I let in the dogs. Maybe I should've done it sooner, but I just didn't want to cope with Cleo and her cat poop obsession while I don't have the litter buckets blocked off.
Cleo will eat just about anything, but she respects the barrier of litter buckets, even when they are empty.
So, the good news is that I got the stuff in before I might get wet.
And how is the weather where you are?

We are going to get the rain, but it isn't supposed to move too far inland. We had a cold front come in too, and that's going to keep it from coming too far. It'll pause just inland then get pushed off to the east north east. Just what Houston doesn't really need.

@TiarasOceanView I have a good solid house, 47 years old - built in 1970. The roof is, relatively, new. I'm located near the top of a little rise, I get some standing water in my back yard, but it does, finally, flow down to a little creek to my south. We have food in the house, a gas range if we need to cook if the power goes out all we have to do is light it. I think we're as ready as we need to be.

Are you in danger of being hit by the hurricane or just in the bad weather path? Here it is much cooler than normal and I like it. Of course it probably has something to do with the fact that I just ordered an air conditioner.

@sumofalltears he should be, so long as he's not in a flood plain

My weather is a bit cooler than it should be, but maybe that's because there's no humidity. It's supposed to warm up again next week.
Hope rain is all that Harve will bring you. Keep safe.

@BarBaraPrz we let it get into the 60's and 50's when it is really cold. Our house heater broke a few years back, but we just got some room heaters and put on more clothes. Electric blankets also help - a lot!
