I Love My Amazon Fire Stick

A few weeks ago, QVC offered an Amazon Fire Stick at a discount price. I bought two, one for here in Connecticut and one for Florida. I wasn't sure how to use it but our grandson Brandon came over and helped me hook it up. It is quite simple and then it was just a matter of putting in my password for my WiFi, Amazon Prime, NetFlix and YouTube. It is so easy to use and allows me to watch some favorites anytime the mood suits me. I am sure we will love it in Florida where our cable is nowhere near as good as it is at home and we don't have OnDemand. I am pretty sure I will be able to access my OnDemand from home on it. Anyway, I am sure many of you already knew about this but for me it was new and I really am enjoying it. I have been marathoning Downton Abbey again and hubs likes Longmire. We can watch all the seasons we missed. This is one small investment I don't regret at all.

I wonder if it is, I am curious as well. As long as you have WiFi I can't imagine why not.

@BelleStarr It is for sale both from Amazon Italy (at about 8$) and Amazon France (at about 9$), but they do not deliver this item in Switzerland. We have to order from on an European Amazon because Amazon Swiss does not exist. Many electronic items cannot be exported to our country. It does not matter, we have WiFi, but we do not use it, because my husband is sensitive to WiFi, he gets terrible headaches, when it is active in the house.

I'm very happy for you! Who is your cable company in FL? We can only use Comcast/Xfinity, but also use Roku and/or Slingbox for NY Giants games and NY and CT news. Enjoy!

We can't have Comcast, we must have Decca (the company that owns our complex). We don't have On Demand at all which I hate but now I will be able to see shows I missed.

Many do not have a Fire Stick (including us), so it would be a new experience and from what you are saying, it could be a good one.

Longmire. I got hooked on that and was able to check some episodes from the library. I did not know what you meant by a fire stick at first. I'm glad you are enjoying the gizmo.

It is very simple to use and with Wifi and any of the services like NetFlix or Amazon Prime you get lots of choices. I like being able to access YouTube for my British shows.

@BelleStarr It might sound crazy but we're having trouble finishing just one season of Numb3rs. We love the show but its taking us weeks to finish it. We generally watch one episode a night cause that's the time we have after gardening and that still leaves me going to bed tons later than I should.
