Newbies should avoid plagiarizing articles

Looks like J-J over here have caught some one plagiarizing another article and using it as a mylot post. It's always the same with the new ones, specially when they can't think of anything else. They try to get it from other sites and post it as their own. You know if the admin can't catch you, the oldies will. It's a shame I didn't see that, I guess I'm blind from seeing the difference. Lol! I wonder how the hell did he figure it out

@Letranknight2015 Yes sometimes topics are hard to think of but not always. We can use other sources but ought not pass them as our own work.

newbies should still know they are committing an offence - they never get to be oldies because they get stoppd after a short time

Its very bad thing. One ought to be careful of what one posts. I recall one case when I forgot to mention the source of a news. However, I later added as a comment.

It's easy to see a plagiarized article. If you know the person's normal style, the article is easy to catch because it will be very well written and no typos or punctuation errors. The grammar will be perfect. If you see any like that, no doubt it's been plagiarized.

I could hardly detect if they have plagiarized or not because most of their accounts are either new or have not been used for a while @just4him

I don't blame them if their only focus is money @JudyEv and back then they were a lot of abusers. At least now they have set it right.

He is an old hand at this I guess. I am not too good, only find that out when the article is pointed out to me by other members.

You wouldn't know unless you make time to search if the post is copied or not @YrNemo

Hello @Sreekala There's only one I know now that can do that. I just don't have time to check on each on every one's post I mean I'm not the admin here.

One can talk about a news or other article, but copying and portraying as one's own without any reference is not a good thing. Such a move brings down the image of this site.

Someone plagiarized an article of mine once some years ago. I never would have known about it but a friend notified me and said they saw my article with someone else's name on it. I contacted the site the article was posted on and informed them of the situation. They deleted it. I don't know what happened to the plagiarist.

He's been here for a very long time @Lucky15 longer than I had been. I feel sad though he seems to be the only guy left doing ninja moves on suspecious mylotters.
