Psychology and Color (Black)

Black is often associated with evil and death. However, those connotations are inaccurate. Black is probably the most intriguing and active of all colors. As children, we somehow end up with the impression that black is the absence of color, when in fact, it is the culmination of all colors. While black is the color of mystery, it is also the color of power and sophistication. When speaking of fashion, you can't have too much black. However, when it comes to decorating, black must be used in moderation because too much will become intimidating. Those who move in empathic circles insist on some usage of black because it is believed to absorb negative energy. One thing is sure, black always makes a statement.

I like to wear black clothing because I do not feel so fat in it.

interesting...I have not even thought about the colors having different meanings in different cultures
