My Poetry

Most of you know that I have been cleaning out my ‘home office’ now that I have retired from my “home jewelry business.” Well, today, I found some of my long lost poetry. I knew it was in this room somewhere and I finally found it. A lot of it is hand written from years ago, so my new project this week is to type it all up on Microsoft Word and print it out. I’m hoping to publish all of it in a book now that I have found my older poems. I had been putting off publishing it until I found the rest of my poems. Now, I can get started and I’m excited about that. So, I will be working on that, starting tomorrow. I found dozens of my Haiku and a lot of poems that I had written for couples getting married or celebrating an anniversary. Some was for friends of my children when they graduated from school and I’m so happy that I have found these poems at last. I’m going to make copies for the persons that I wrote the poems for and mail them a copy if I can. I doubt if they still have the original that I gave them many years ago. Most of my poems that I gave as gifts, I did put in a frame, so they may still have theirs. But, maybe not. But, at least, I can now make a copy and send it to them again. I wonder how many I can contact. Do you like to read or write poetry?

That's all poetry is. Rhyme stories. I have a few poems that I really love, that I wrote myself. They tell a story about some part of my life. I lost the poem that I wrote for my husband years ago and I'm really SAD about that. I can't remember all the verses. I've tried to remember it but I just can't.

I like reading them (but can never remember the verses like others). Can't wait to read some of yours.

I have put a few of my poems on mylot, but I'm not willing to put my best work out there for fear that someone would claim it as theirs. But, I am going to publish my poetry in a book.

Love poetry and sometimes it seems like that is the only way I can express my feelings

That's true for me too. I have put down a lot of my innermost thoughts and feelings in my poems.
