I Never Knew What Internet Troll And Trolling Is All About Until I Met You!

You might say that it is not love at first sight but rather troll at first sight. For I didn't know at all from what infernal region or dimension or encounter of the third kind you came from... Nope my friend I'm not talking about anyone in particular but about troll, internet trolling, and the act of trolling. Google says that "troll (in folklore) is an ugly cave-dwelling creature depicted as either a giant or dwarf." While Wiki says that "In Internet slang, a troll is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting quarrels or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal, on-topic discussion, often for the troll's amusement." Whereas the UrbanDictionary says that troll is: "One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument." Even our very own myLot Community Guidelines says that trolling is a behavior that is never tolerated: "Personal attacks, flaming, harassment, or trolling of any kind." Which goes into the question: Have you met or encounter any troll or internet troll online before? Is there any troll or internet troll here in myLot? How do you handle a troll or internet troll? I've been trolled before on news sites, in the comments sections. And a couple of them followed me to different sites. I blocked them and also set my profile to private so they couldn't track me anymore. But I don't respond back to them. To me, they're merely showing their ignorance.
