I'm on fire!

The truth is, I'm not. I'm not in the mood for anything. I'm a mess, emotionally. I'm facing a battle deep inside of me. However, I can't show what a mess I am in front of my employees and clients. I must have a clear mind and have to solve whatever problems are there in the office today. I have to perform. I don't bring whatever personal problems I have to work. I don't let it affect my performance. I don't let it bother me, even though deep inside I want to scream, I want to cry, I want peace. But what will happen to the company that I so worked hard to be where it is now if I would suddenly show the people that I could collapse that easily? I have to be strong. I need to remain strong.

Thanks Bhem. I'm trying my best. I went to the company dinner last night to welcome our new recruits. I stayed strong but I had to leave early because of my headache and I wasn't really in the mood to party.

I'm so sorry you feel such angst, but you are correct in not bringing it to work with you. Hugs to you and hope you feel much better.

Thanks for the hugs. It's a holiday today here so I'm not doing anything for the day. I just want to relax and enjoy the day with my son.

Sending all good wishes and light to you Toni to get through this day..one day at a time my friend. You are an amazing woman to come so far and build what you have. You know the importance of staying strong and I commend you on that. I know this is not easy at all, but I also know you can do it. I hope there is nothing so bad going on Toni..if there is, and if there is anything I can do for you, please let me know. Remember, we are also here for you to lean on.

i believe strong women should not show they are weak in some instances. i am a strong woman. even here at home, when i am quiet despite my sister being so stressed out, they will know i am not feeling well. no need for me to tell them, and they know. i also don't cry easily now. i have developed that 'skill' of letting a problem be light and not toxic, because it can be solved readily anyway.

That's good to know. I have always been like this. Never bringing any personal problems at work. I value my work ethics too much.

@toniganzon that is what i always tell my students to "not bring their problems at home, in the ward. leave their problems at the gates of their houses, and once their duty is done, they have to leave the problems in the ward, at the lobby, and receive their house problems once they are home".

Life can be though at times and we need to be tough. There are places where we need to put on a brave face and do what we have to do. There are places and times when we can open up a bit and let out enough out so that we don't explode. Hopefully the troubles will be brief!

It is hard to have battles that you are dealing with but it is also good not to take them to work. So many people take their personal problems with them no matter where they go. I am glad that you know better than to take your personal problems to work. That shows that you care about your job.

I always care in everything that I do. Sometimes I care too much. I try to be professional as much as I can. However, I don't dwell on problems too long. I am over it now.

I don't like bringing personal business with me also when I worked. Pull it together and be strong while at work! Easier said than done but you can do it! I hope all gets better with the problem you're having.

I've always told my employees never let your personal issues get in the way of your work. Especially now that I have to take care of a lot of people and they depend on me. I can't be weak.

@toniganzon Yeah, or they will use your weak side to get at you. It's important to be strong especially when you're a role model and leadership of the company.

I worked for others and since I played crucial roles I had to more than put my best foot forward all the time. My personal issues were relegated but I am none the worse for such attitude. A positive countenance helps everyone - siva

True. I may have shown my people my smile but if they knew me well they could have seen how lonely my eyes were.
