Hey hey:two goth songs in a row in my Favorite "Silent" Songs series, which celebrates songs with either "silent" or "silence" In the meantime, We are at #4: "Silent Hedges" by the legendary (in the goth community, anyway) Bauhaus. Although their goal was to be a post punk band, Bauhaus is widely considered to be the band that invented goth. In fact, vocalist Peter Murphy has been nicknamed "The Godfather of Goth." The second track on their 1982 album, The Sky's Gone Out, "Silent Hedges" was not released as a single, but to this day it remains one of the band's most popular tunes. Bauhaus often shows up in my music countdowns, and rightly so. They were a great band (they were great live, too.) While I I listen to a lot of different musical genres, goth would be my favorite style, and Bauhaus is one of my absolute favorite's from that genre. I mean, as an aficionado, how can I not like the band that invented goth? Well done, fellas. Well done! (Info verified by Wikipedia)

I did not know they invented goth. Pretty cool, now I know. Good party knowledge right there.

Much different than yesterday's goth song. More melodic, dare I say.
