It feels like my face has open flame on it.

I added Oil of Peppermint to my shampoo. I read it helps with hair loss. I wanted to see it fr myself. I guess I was not expecting this. Right when I went to rince the shampoo it went in my face. Down my shoulder and lit me on fire. It feels as if someone pour gas and lit me up. I am typing and my shoulder burns like hell. I need to see how long this will burn for. My forehead is easing up a little..My ears are just burning.

You shouldn't just add things if you have never used them before . It sounds like you either added too much or are allergic to it
