I Like These Extra Days

Yes, I really do like having these extra days off. It would be nice to do that every week. Even though I really like my job, it feels like I’m never home. It’s nice that my bosses give us the Friday off when there is a holiday on a Monday. There need to be more holidays on a Monday. I’ve joked before that there should be a holiday in every month. That would be great. Let’s think of some. I could think up a few.

I'd love that too, but it would take away from a holiday being a special day wouldn't it?

@Juliaacv To me, it just adds to it. I really like my job but it's full time. So I enjoy the extra time.

Would be nice for the employees but expensive for the employers.

@marlina They can afford it! He's an attorney. We have three in the office, plus he's also a CPA and we have another CPA in the office as well as a payroll administrator.

@Susan2015 Yes but sometimes, those guys only look at their "bottom line".

@marlina Sometimes. My bosses are very nice and generous. Since he's a CPA also, I'm sure he looks at almost everything.

I would love my work even more if I could work 3 days a week and get out at noon on every day! Of course, that isn't going to pay the bills.

@ElusiveButterfly Yes me too. While I really like my job, I was used to working part time for many years and not full time. But the full time money does help.

@Susan2015 I am looking forward to working part-time in a couple of years. The loss of income will pinch the purse though. Of course if I am able to find a job I really like that isn't brutal on the joints, I would consider full-time.

@ElusiveButterfly I'm trying to save all I can. Would like to retire at 62. But might end up still working part time.

Yes, I am sure we could all come up with a holiday for every month. I think a holiday every month that includes days off would make for a lot of happy people!

@JohnRoberts I don't think I could do that. But I know that many can and do. And they like it that way.

@kobesbuddy Yes I did. It's at an attorney/CPA office. I like it, the only thing is that it's mostly full time. I was looking for part time. But they have been very good to me.

@Susan2015 Your other job was ruthless, they worked you like a horse! Ants crawling all over your purse, such terrible work conditions:(

@kobesbuddy Yes I remember them coming up from the carpet and getting all over my tote bag. And then the credit union wasn't a very good place to work either.

@Susan2015 We could try for your Birthday, too! Maybe we could dress up like Abe Lincoln and George Washington, for the day! LOL With one stipulation, they both have to fall on a Monday each year!

We didn't get Friday off just Monday. It was still a nice 3 day weekend just wish it didn't go by so fast.
