Sometimes you hear someone say: you got to have faith or you have to have a strong faith or you have to keep you faith alive? So, how does one feed their faith and keep it strong as from what I see, we are going to go though some very difficult times in the days ahead? _________________________________________________________________ Addendum: (Sept. 7, 2017, 11:30 PM) From Bible study and discussions with people, here are five ways to strengthen our faith: 1. Pray to God and ask God to strengthen our faith. 2. Read the Bible daily, as the Bible is the product of God's spirit and faith is a fruitage of the spirit. 3. Talk about your faith as that is exercising faith and it will become stronger. 4. Examine closely all the characters found in the Bible that showed faith and follow their example. 5. Meet with others today that have faith and encourage one another. _________________________________________________________________ What exactly is faith? Let me explain it by some illustrations. It is not blind credulity. Faith is like your bankbook. You don't see the money but you know you have it in the bank. Faith is like a will from a loved one that leaves you an inheritance. It is like a legal document that proves you will get something or that you own something. Hebrews 11:1 Amplified Bible 11 Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].

Nice thought! So, when trials come, we can strengthen our faith by overcoming them. James 1:2-3 (Easy-to-Read Version) 2 My brothers and sisters, you will have many kinds of trouble. But this gives you a reason to be very happy. 3 You know that when your faith is tested, you learn to be patient in suffering.

We can learn how many persons in the Bible have stayed strong in faith, and we can follow friends in our days too and learn what trials they have gone through and how they continued to serve God faithfully.. We can find many encouraging experiences in the Wachtower and other literature that can help us..

Yes, Hebrews chapter 11 gives a list of people who had faith and what their faith moved them to do.

@1hopefulman I love the story of Joseph, who was sold as a slave at a young age, by his brothers.. He kept his faith strong and in the end - when he met his brothers, after many years, he could forgive them. He got richly blessed by God and is a great example for us all..

All I can say is that we need to stay as strong as we can and very positive. Believing in God has to come first. If we believe in God then He will be there to help has keep our faith.

I couldn't agree more! I have found five ways that we can strengthen our faith. What do you think? 1. Pray to God and ask God to strengthen our faith. 2. Read the Bible daily, as the Bible is the product of God's spirit and faith is a fruitage of the spirit. 3. Talk about your faith as that is exercising faith and it will become stronger. 4. Yes, no matter what happens, prayer is a comfort. While we are capable of much at other times we are as helpless as a baby. We don't have a chance if we don't look to someone greater that can preserve all that we are even if we die.

@1hopefulman I think of Jesus. He went through so much. Being in human form it stands to reason he must have felt what we feel? You remember God told him to sit down and relax. And soon enough his enemies would be at his feet. Everything works out as it should. Goodness perseveres and evil goes to its ending.

I also think those are the most important ways! Also, I would add associating and speaking with others that have faith will strengthen our faith.

Yes, prayer is the most important way as it shows that our faith is real, especially when we pray every day, whether good or bad. We can tell our Heavenly Father how the day went and even though He knows already, he likes to hear us express our thoughts and feelings.

Faith is like a muscle, we can do much to strengthen it. In the Bible, God tells us what to do. But if we don't read it, we won't do what God asks us to do. Here are five ways to strengthen our faith; 1. Pray to God and ask God to strengthen our faith. 2. Read the Bible daily, as the Bible is the product of God's spirit and faith is a fruitage of the spirit. 3. Talk about your faith as that is exercising faith and it will become stronger. 4. It all depends on what faith means to you in the first place and why it is important. To some people, faith is virtually nonexistent, and all it means is to hold onto hope. I'm not a very religious man, but I do believe in hope of a better tomorrow. However, I don't believe in faith and hopes effectiveness in changing anything without action. Whether it's god speaking to you, or just your sense of hope, changes will not be made without you taking action to that message. This is what I believe, but perhaps you might have a different perspective on the matter.. however you perceive it, I am open to hearing it

@1hopefulman There is no problem with that! I see nothing wrong in the prospect of religion as long as you are a kind person to all, and by the sounds of it, you are not the type to force religion on your peers which to me is a sign of good character! Hope you are having a good night! -Mr. Anomaly
