He Found Gas

Sorry that I didn't write this earlier today, but for those who didn't know already my husband finally found a gas station with gas yesterday. Walmart still doesn't have any in the surrounding towns. We found out that it's because their gasoline comes from Houston. Unfortunately after he got the gas he couldn't get our truck to crank. It's a 1995 Ford F-150 and gets cantankerous at times. It took a bit of tinkering, but he got home safely. This morning he worked on the Ford a bit and it is cranking fine for now, but since our son didn't have classes today my husband took our newer car to work. We are keeping our fingers crossed that both vehicles will keep working until we can afford to buy another vehicle. I hope that you are all doing well.

I have heard people in Florida are having terrible trouble getting gas because of the upcoming hurricane. It's apparently gotten nasty with people down there, fighting over bottled water. The people in Houston seem to be a lot better behaved. Well, I mean, no one's beating anyone up over water, at least.

I can only imagine how it is going to effect people if stations are not getting gas then people can not fill their tanks to get to work.

Getting gas seems to be a problem with Harvey and now Irma in Florida. Glad your husband was able to find gas and hope he doesn't continue to have problems

When I read the first sentence of your post, the first thing that went through my head was why??? Now I understand. They say gas is going up because of Harvey.

Yes, most of our gas comes from Houston.

@Tampa_girl7 Our gas has gone up a lot the past few days, so our gas must come from Houston as well.

I hope that you can keep both going until replacement time arrives. Our gasoline rose last week. But not terribly, its 1.33 per Litre, which isn't a lot when you look at the actual measurement of it, and my tank takes 66 L to fill.

He actually worked on the truck again today. Ford made some pretty good trucks.

@Tampa_girl7 We had a Ford 150, but it wasn't one of their better made trucks, we didn't keep it for very long as it was plagued with problems.

My husband has an old Chevy truck, in the same condition! Some days the door stays shut, other days we drive with it partly open!
