Change of plans tomorrow.

I was supposed to have today and tomorrow off and then work the afternoon shift Saturday. An hour ago I got a message from my manager asking if I could help out at the store I did some over nights for last month. As much as I was looking forward to another day off I told her I would do it. The extra hours will help my paycheck for sure.
And now I can get my shopping done after work and won't have to make a trip just for that which is was what I was planning on doing.

It's always nice when you get asked to work extra hours, especially when that paycheck arrives! I got good news today at work, related to working extra hours. I am a salaried employee for the city, and so it normally doesn't matter how many hours I work, I still get the same paycheck. They've changed the rules with the impending hurricane coming, and now will pay us for any extra hours we work as a result of the hurricane. Since I am on the emergency response team, I will potentially be getting 30-40 extra hours of pay, just over the next 3-4 days. That really made my entire weekend!
