Good Saturday morning to all of you! I trust that everyone had an enjoyable, restful Friday night. I was sitting here this morning going through the grocery market ads and darn it I made myself hungry. I don't often buy steaks or eat them, but this grilled T-Bone steak caused me to salivate! Do you eat beef? Are you a steak fan?

I eat beef when I can afford it. I don't put a fan on my steak, I want it hot, not cold.

The Angus Beef, that we like, is very expensive here. We eat steaks a couple of times a month, rare.

When you say expensive Anna, what does it run per pound if you don't mind me asking?

@SonjaRae Let me make the calculation, because we use metric system and meat is sold per KG. Okay, it costs about 21 $ per pound.

I eat beef occasionally but prefer pork. We had ribs a couple nights ago slow cooked with Pepsi and barbecue sauce. It was so tender and good. With a baked potatoe.

@ElusiveButterfly I looked up a recipe...
Cola is the secret ingredient in this recipe that makes them falling off the bone tender and adds extra flavor.

@SonjaRae when I order steak I just say medium rare and at 130°F to 135°F, is the temp range at which steaks are at their most tender, juicy, and flavorful as compared to just having the steak at medium which by restaurant standards is considered over-cooked already.

@allen0187 I guess it depends on the restaurant. Some places I have eaten; I say medium and it's well done. So then I ordered medium rare and it was way under cooked. When I cook a steak, medium is nicely seared or grilled and pink inside. Still very moist and tender!

I love me a good old T-Bone steak. Recently bought a couple of ribeye steaks and they were really good. We have so many venison steaks in the freezer that I won't need too buy any meat aside from chicken for a while.

I eat white meat more often than red meat. I often eat red meat during the holidays when I visit people. Next Christmas is going to be one of those occassions

I stopped eating meat 39 years ago when my daughter was 2. She didn't like meat and refused to eat it. So I just stopped buying it and cooking it. Now it is so long I don't miss it at all.

Well no wonder you are able to jump on top of the hood of a car and bus out your own windshield! So what do you eat for protein if you don't mind me asking?
@poehere (17715)

@SonjaRae I eat a lot of fish I catch in our lagoon. I also eat a lot of fruit and veggies all the time. You see my car how small this hood is. It slops downward. I basically was kneeling on the windshield and had my toes locked on the upper lip of the hood near the windshield wiper. My toes cramped and so did my legs from sitting on them for so long.

I don't like mine mooing or squirming, but I do like mine whimpering a little bit! Medium-rare sometimes erring on rare. I can eat it if it's more toward medium, but once it starts getting just pink it's not enjoyable to me
