So many apples so little time. I talked in another post about cutting and peeling all the apples from my apple tree. For more than a month I have been elbow deep in apples. It's finally ending but I have had to decide what to do with all the apples on a daily basis. One of the treats I made a few times is apple cinnamon bread. It's much like a banana bread but with loads of sliced apples. So good.

This sounds so good. My grandma taught me how to make her special apple pie and when we do get some apples here on the islands I have to make one. But yours sounds better to me.

@poehere If an apple a day keeps the doctor away then you and those of us who eat more than one a day may never need a doctor. If only that were so.

@Freelanzer It sounds delicious. I need to find a recipe for this and try it here. I love apples and normally I just buy a bag and eat them. At night I eat 2 or 3 of them. When they are good I can eat a lot.

You do have a way with turning the apples into wonderful dish.I am not sure if "elbow deep in" means being busy in.

Literally elbow deep when I have my hands in a large bowl washing, peeling and slicing them.

Only thing we do with apples is eat them with peanut butter, make apple crisp with it once or twice a year, and my grandmother makes apple pie two times a year.

I know this is from September, but, what does apple cinnamon bread taste like? I have never had it. I used to make apple crisp with apples and it was really good. I don't make apple pie but like to buy it.
