My alarm sounded at 4:30 & 4:45 AM but I stood up at 5:15 AM. I played a game on the phone until 5:10AM so I hurried to boil water for the thermos. We put empty flat salmon cans over the burners but this morning, one can was near the kettle and I unconsciously picked up the can and it was hot.
Careless. It was hot.i had to put my left ring finger under running water for several minutes so it won't blister.
I was able to tolerate the pain. Now the skin is more red. No blisters. Just red.

was it a 1st degree burn? i hope there were no burn marks.
i accidentally burned my left hand before (spilled hot water) between my thumb and index finger, then in 2006, my left foot got 1st degree burn with hot water again. there are no more burn marks.

@ridingbet 1st degree is a mild burning. It was 2nd degree, it affected the epidermis and the dermis. I have a mark, but it's on the palm, nobody notices.
