Leaving on a Jet Plane for Germany

My daughter and her boyfriend are flying out today to spend the next two weeks in Germany and the final two days in Copenhagen. It is my daughter's first trip to Europe. I am so glad that she is having this opportunity to do some things that she was not able to do when she was in her marriage. Finally, I'm able to watch her blossom in ways that were always what she was destined to be. I'm glad she has the chance now in her life. She will be celebrating her 42nd birthday next Sunday in Munich! In light of yesterday's anniversary of 9/11 (September 11), my heart has been heavy and I've started to feel a lot of anxiety about her being on a plane today and even being in Europe, with all that's going on and our world. I pray for her safety, and also from my own worry and anxiety. Of course, the anxiety is heightened by other things that I've shared with you that are going on healthwise. But right now, I want this plane trip and her holiday to be a joyful one and free from any issues. Thank you for your support, positive thoughts and energy, and prayers. Signed, Always a Mother

What will her itinerary be? Munich is a good city to start. What will come next? Please tell her that she *must* visit Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen and watch a pantomime show. It's enchanting.

If she were traveling with me or on her own, I'm sure that what they were going to do would be very different. But since her boyfriend has planned this trip I do not think that the pantomime will be part of it. But who knows, I could be wrong. This is all that I know. A day in Howenschwangau...Then a few days each in Munich, Bamberg, Berlin and Copenhagen.

Thanks, @celticeagle . I know she will have a wonderful time. She did text me that she'd forgotten her earbuds, and her extra contact lenses. *laughs* So, she'll have to wear glasses, if the contacts tear. Oh, the struggles of life! *laughs*

@CoralLevang .....Yes, the struggles. At least one is something she can replace relatively cheaply.

Wishing your daughter a wonderful (and safe) trip and a very happy birthday. I understand how anxiety works (as a mom) as my son and daughter in law flew to Haiti while the hurricane was battering the Caribbean and then headed toward Florida. They are there safely and doing their mission work but as a mom I can't help but worry. I'm sure your daughter will have a wonderful time in German and Copenhagen

I am very proud of her, and she's been through a lot in these last two decades. We all have been through a lot. I'm just glad that she has the opportunity now to do the things that she should have done all along. But her path took a turn.
