How many of you know how to do calligraphy or script writing?

I am trying to write the letters from a beginner's page of calligraphy. It is not easy to do. I would like to use it for things, but, have to really get the hang of how to write the letters and then make sentences on how it should look. I practice and then go away and practice some more but not sure it looks good what I am doing.

I'm trying to do calligraphy now, actually bought a brush pen for practice. I used to have a pen with multiple nibs for calligraphy but I lost it. Not taking any formal classes, just got some pages online, and I still need a lot of practice.

@Hannihar I remember when I was in school, we were taught a cursive handwriting similar to a French script. Light strokes for upward directions and hard strokes when going downward.

moonchild, I know what you mean. A friend found a site and I printed out the pages and am practicing, but, it is not easy and not sure I get them how they are suppose to be.

I personally don't know but brother can do calligraphy. I have shared on of his works on discussions.

I don't but my mother once took calligraphy classes. She got pretty good at it.
