That Moment When....The Sun Rose Over Rome...

As I watched the sun rising this morning my mind flashed back to another morning where I stood watching a gorgeous, magical extra special sun rise. I was just 15 years old and I I stepped through the door of an airplane and before I moved to go down the steps I stopped turned and watched the sun rise over Rome. At that moment my mind took a photo of that scene and the image stuck, I can see it clearly. What a pity cell phones didn't have cameras back then though.
But, I remember I just stood there grinning, while the very handsome Pilot that had gotten us safely to Italy stood grinning with me, his blue, blue eyes twinkling at me. I mumbled something about the sun and the buildings and beauty and he asked if I had enjoyed the flight, I mumbled, yes, thank you and he winked at me and said he was happy to share a sun rise with a cutie like me, lol, I think my face has never ever been that shade of red it was at that moment since.
Ah well, it was a wonderful memory to start my morning with. Don't you love it when something triggers a good memory for you? Have you taken photos with your mind that you can still see clearly?

A beautiful sunrise that one Catherine. I love the sunrise better than sunset because I love mornings. I rarely take photos.

I can imagine it was a great sunrise to watch. What a beautiful memory. And on top of that, having a pilot that was trying to seduce you! haha

For a visitor, just about everything about Rome is magical. I visited it twice and I'll never forget it even though I was about 10 years old. Arrivederci Roma!

Yes, a have a list of pleasant memories in my mind and always enjoy it when one pops up. Do you think that pilot was Italian? As someone who is part Italian myself, I hear they can be pretty forward, ha. Just kidding
