Truly Blessed

My fourteen year old cousin had an accident Saturday morning. He went hunting with some friends and ended up getting shot in the neck, forehead and back with birdshot. They had finished hunting for the day or so he thought. When he walked into the woods to retrieve a bird , his companions fired in his direction. I guess they didn't realize he had left to go into the woods. He was one truly blessed boy. He could have been blinded or even killed. Fortunately he is going to be fine, but it gave us all a fright. It should have never happened. I know it was an accident, but they should have been more careful.

Oh goodness, sorry to hear about the shooting accident, but glad he is okay. My own 14-year old son just told me he wants to go hunting, and I told him that he would have to take a hunter safety course first and then head to a shooting range to practice with his .22 rifle before I would let him out into the woods to hunt!

OMG!!! He was indeed lucky! I assume he's a hunter? If so, shouldn't he be wearing bright orange vest or something?

He is very lucky and I am surprised he didn't yell at them to stop firing he was going into the woods to pick up his bird. I am glad he didn't get hurt worse. I just hope next time he goes hunting things will be different for him.
