For those of you who have been on this site for a while, what tips would you give to new users? What did it take you a while to learn when you first came and wish someone had told you sooner? Thanks for any advice you can give. I have just recently started here and trying to decide if I want to continue. Will it be worth my time?

Just enjoy reading, posting and commenting. And later on being paid.

for those who are used to sites that pay for every action they make and pay instantly for those actions, or used to sites that pay even when they're not here, they get impatient at mylot and go elsewhere because mylot isn't structured like other sites.

Some people here make around twenty per month, but many of them are here a lot. You don't get paid for what you post, you get paid depending on how much interaction what you post gets be that a discussion, a response on another discussion or comments on responses. The more active you are with interacting, the more people will interact with you. Mylot pays monthly and they pay everyone at the same time no one is missed or forgotten. Some users do choose to hold off on being paid until their funds have acrued to a higher amount, but that is their choice although you have to dig that info out of them to understand why. If you want to try mylot again, there's a blog written by a long-time member that I can give you the link to if you want to understand more.

As a newbie myself I can say that in financial times it probably isn't worth it but it's great fun and I enjoy what I do here
