Nervous as can be!

Those who know me, know that I suffer from Depression and Anxiety. They also know that I am not a fan of needles, blood, pain, or doctors. And well.. the dentist appointment I made in August for the tooth with a mysterious hole in it, is tomorrow morning, and I'm very nervous. I'm trying so hard to not think about it, and have been all week, but it's not working. And because of it, I've had stomach aches most of this week, and even thought of cancelling the appointment and just asking for a referral to get the whole tooth pulled, because that to me is less worrisome and less painful. Ugh. Hopefully this is a fast and as painless as possible, visit tomorrow.

Sometimes dentists can give you things to help you relax. I think it should be soothing to at least sound off about it to us.

You will be ok and things will go well. They may just go ahead and pull the tooth then you wouldn't have to worry about it anymore. Keep calm if you can.

If it has a hole in it they might just pull it anyways. I hope the appointment goes well tomorrow and is not to painful for you.

It'll be okay. I know saying that doesn't help right now, but it's true. I hope they'll give you something beforehand, and 24 hours from now, it'll be behind you. Love ya!

Awww, you can do this! I am not a fan of the dentist but to me getting a filling is less pain than ripping it out and leaving a raw hole that could get dry socket and hurt for weeks. Do like I do and just close your eyes when they deaden your mouth, then I keep them closed while drilling and in no time its over.Teeth are a one time deal, take care of them, and getting them cleaned is one way to prevent those holes.

I've had teeth pulled and never had a problem with dry sockets or pain, and the hole always closes. I don't do the pain or vibration of the drill well. and closing eyes or listening to music doesn't help. so pulling is better for me. I know they are, as my mom has been without teeth since her late 20s. but not from not cleaning them or anything.

Usually, the first visit, they only clean your teeth. Then, they determine what other treatments, your teeth need.

I wasn't aware you suffered from depression and anxiety, Sorry to hear that as I know it is tough to deal with. Your teeth are precious and better to have the hole filled than to remove it. What time is your appointment? 2:30 (tooth hurty)

@Orson_Kart um my mom hasnt had teeth since she was in late 20s and she eats meats and chips, etc. Not soups. And she smiles all the time. So thats rude.
