Next month, we are going to have a vacation from Oct 1st to 8th. Hooray! Hooray! Hooray! Hooray! Hooray! This is the biggest motivation to my work in September! However, the Mid-Autumn Festival is on Oct 4th. I am going to travel outside for about 3 days and planning to set off on that day. I already got permission from my mom. Actually it is a traditional family gathering day to Chinese. Yet, in my generation, seldom do we look forward to it. Generally, we appreciate the full moon, eat mooncakes, and light up the paper lanterns or nowadays electric lanterns, etc. These are not attractive to us anymore. But they did when I was a kid. Recently, BBQ is more often welcomed among my generation. Traditional festivals become less and less attractive to me. Thus, I choose to go travel this year. What would you do when a festival coming? Out for a travel or celebrate with family or others?

What a shame it is that you have to miss the festival. You have a wonderful time on your vacation.

@HazySue yep. It seems like those 20s or 30s who without children have no passion of celebrating traditional festivals.
