We really don't need the rain. I would rather see it falling down on areas that are fighting fires. Wouldn't it be nice if we could have control of the rain?

Indeed, it would be good if we can control not just the rain but the weather in general. Although, that would have dire consequences as well if such control went to the wrong people.

I can see it now. This person is pressing for rain while this one is pressing for sun but then we have another pressing for snow. I am laughing at what the out come might be. Every five minutes the weather would be changing.

Ok, I will start dancing for you. Let me know if you get any rain. This reminds me of teaching my grandkids to do rain dances.

Here in India no matter how much it rains it gets absorbed into the soil and there is scarcity for drinking water during summer. So we never say no to rains no matter how much. I agree that it would be nice if we could direct rain on parched areas r the ones fighting fire..

That is good that the rain is absorbed and you have plenty of drinking water. I am all for being able to direct the rain to where it is needed.

@velvet53 the government here is now insisting on implementing rain water harvesting when you build a new house or a commercial complex and there is also a proposal to link all the rivers which should help in equal distribution of water .

Very true, Toni. All we can do is pray that those areas will get the moisture that they need.

It sure would be but we can't and that is sad. I can't say if only because that will never happen.

That would be great to have that much control, I hope all the fires are out soon and snow will be here before you know it. We got a little rain tonight and I was glad because we haven't had much at all in the last couple of months and my yard shows it. Those damn weeds grow though even with no rain!!!

Those blasted weeds don't know how to do it right. They are suppose to die from not getting enough water. I am glad that you got some rain.
