Is MLM (multi level marketing) offers good money

Here in India, MLM is not a popular term but I heard somewhere that it is an easy work with good money. Do you think so? Have you tried it? Is it good?

I stay away from MLM. Most of what I've heard and read end up being scams.

Some one told me about making money through MLM. But I don't think it is easy. I have no personal experience with it.
