Why people lie

Yesterday i went out with my friend. when we bought coffee, he said he forget his wallet. after an hour when we go shopping, he bought a t-shirt and took money from his wallet ? (:

you should have reminded him immediately that he claimed to forget it and if you paid for his shirt demand a refund or he has just robbed you

Thank you Arthur chappell, yea i paid for coffee and later he bought a t-shirt of his own. but yea i will never let him pay for coffee. it hurts

Do not let him take advantage of you, and next time you'll have coffee on him. Your friend does not sound like a gentleman if he doesn't know that he supose to buy the coffee for two of you on his expense.

This is really very bad nature of some people. They want others to spend for them .They must be stingy people. They don't like to spend for others from their pocket. We should note such people and behave in the same way ,then only they will understand how others feel.Its a way of taking advantage of others .And we should stay away from such people.

I think it because he or she want you to buy a coffee, or else he forgot it when both of you in coffee shop.

There are many reasons as why people lie. Some people lie to make the situation in favor to himself, some lie to protect other, some lie as it is best to not to tell the truth. Truth is, lying is part of our lives. Whether it is white lies and etc

I would be upset if a friend of mine acts that way. He could have been honest about it and simply tell you he only had just enough money to buy the shirt.
