I wrote about hanging an art quilt show at Oregon State University just now, but wanted to add this one.
Anne was standing in front of her quilt taking photo with her iPad, so I stood behind her and got this photo.
Somehow, photo of an a person taking a picture of a person taking a picture has always appealed to me

Thanks! She modeled it on a photo her dad took as she walked down an old cobblestone street in Istanbul. She taught school on US Air Force bases in Turkey and Germany for nearly 20 years.

@hereandthere Yes, that is pretty cool. Anne recreated the photo in fabric, cotton, transparent silk for shadows and more.

@JamesHxstatic My grandma's quilts had symmetrical patterns, but never a picture as this one here. She would trace a pattern onto the framed material, then the ladies would work to hand stitch it.
